1st Dec My First Blog

Wow. That is a date that was incomprehensible to me a few decades ago in my youth. Now that it’s upon us I am driven to think about how I got here, and how I became who I am. As I said in my introductory statement, our decisions are the driving force. But many ripples in the pond of life as a result of choices made by others have their effect on us as well. Ever since last December when I began formulating the plan for my book HELLO MYRMIDON, I have been mulling over all the memories that it has stirred up from the bottom of the cauldron of my cranial archives.

As the calendar flipped over today to yet another December, I began to “research” these archives for information on Christmases past, and a flood of recollections of events and stories of events began to monopolize my thoughts. So much so that I knew that I was being informed by my angels that it is time that these events get put into perspective. But I didn’t know how to do that, until I realized that I could use the “blog” medium that everyone seems to be so fond of lately to share some of these musings with the world. So in addition to a link to my book, this site will also now officially serve as my “blog”.

I have no idea if anyone will be interested in what I write. But it really doesn’t matter, because it is primarily to capture my thoughts before they escape into the ether, never to be heard from again. When I wake up in the morning and the thoughts start flowing I know it is time to get up and write them down. They don’t come every day, so it will not be a daily brain expose, but I will do my best to see that what makes it to the page will be meaningful.

In fact, I hope that by sharing my thoughts with the world, anyone who reads them will actually let their mind wander into their own memory archives and explore events and decisions there that have an impact on who they are today. If these wanderings cause them to gradually lose contact with my words as they pay more attention to their own thoughts than to the text they are reading, then I will have accomplished my purpose.

I am a novice at blogging, so I will put the latest entry first, since the whole diatribe is likely to become quite lengthy over time. (NEW READERS SHOULD BE ADVISED THAT I AM KNOWN FOR TALKING TOO MUCH.)
